Sea Surface Temperatures for the Entire East Coast

Looking for SST outside of New Jersey? Wonder what the temperature of the ocean is like for a specific month in the year?

While our COOLroom site has lots of cool "real-time" data, our Marine Remote Sensing Lab web site contains archives of all the data we collect. Not only that, but we collect satellite sea surface temperatures for the entire East coast of the United States. Something sure to come in handy if you venture to other waters in your journeys.

To check out our Satellite archives and discover the ocean surface temperatures for various regions around the east coast, simply choose the area of interest to you below.

Then, if you wish to access our archives, at the top of the page you choose will be a set of buttons which access our archive database. Simply click the month and year you wish to view. In some cases (like for New Jersey) our archives go back pretty far (to 1993 for NJ). To be more confident in your climatical derivations you should check similar weeks for multiple years.
